All Alabaste X Africa pieces are hand-stitched once your order is placed. Please allow about 2 weeks for embroidery, plus shipping time.
Alabaste X Africa sweaters that are hand stitched to order, all sales are final and we are unable to accept returns/exchanges. We are more than happy to cancel an order within 24 hours of placing.
Hand-stitching of the sweaters may also result in unique variations in the look, size, and placement of the embroidery. These are all approved before shipment. If you have any questions, please email us: sales@alabaste.com
International Returns:
If you are returning your cashmere sweater from outside of South Africa, please clearly mark the parcel as a 'Customer Return'. Otherwise, the return will be charged import duties and this fee will be deducted from your refund. *See policy for hand-stitched cashmere below.
Refunds:
If you would like to return your plain sweater, we can offer a refund if it is returned in unworn, unused condition, in its original packaging, with tags. You will need to return your sweater to us within 7 days (local) and within 28 days (international) of it arriving with you.
Your return would need to be fully tracked, and tracking details sent to us at sales@alabaste.com including your reason for refund, order number and full name.
Exceptions / non-returnable items - Hand-Stitched Sweaters
For all hand-stitched sweaters, all sales are final and we cannot offer a refund as they are made-to-order and one of a kind!
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Please Note:
To start a return, you can contact us at sales@alabaste.com. As a small business we are not able to cover the cost of returns postage so we ask you to send it back using a courier - we recommend The Courier Guy in SA, DHL for International. Once we receive your return, we will inspect it to make sure the sweater hasn’t been worn, and is in good condition. Refunds will be paid in 2-3 days, once the sweater has arrived to us. If for any reason your return did not meet our standards, we would contact you directly via email. If you have returned a sweater in un-sellable condition, we would return it to you and no refund would be issued to you. If it needs to be professionally cleaned, the fee would be deducted from any refunds owed.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
